They done buried a small body.

I bet José Luis, Juan, Miguel, Ángel, José Francisco, Jesús, Antonio and Alejandro are up there right now removing any evidence.

How old did the mound look? I'd guess it may be hard to even attempt that kind of guess.

if it were Shaw the flowers would've been placed near the tiny door in the tree, and Chocolate Chips would've been sprinkled on the ground smile

True but that might've been the only food they had left with um..

I'm betting like James said, they were just eating oranges. I'd have the police out there and wouldn't take no for an answer.

Did the oranges have enchilada sauce on them? If so that's nasty!

Back when I was a cop, I stopped some Mexicans down in Baldwin County once...they had every thing they owned packed up on 2 pickups, and they had approached a couple local churches for gas money. They were traveling back to Mexico because one of their children had died...they spent all the money they had on a casket, embalming, etc., because it was required by law, but they didn't have the money for a burial plot, so they were taking him back to Mexico to bury him. He was in one of the pickups.

Couple years before that, here in Covington County, we had about a week's worth of rain and everything flooded. After the flood waters went down, a small (child size) casket was found in the woods. The casket was a cheap one, and forensic testing revealed that it had been used. Never did figure out where it came from or who was in it, but it was assumed that indigents had buried someone out in the woods somewhere, and the flood floated the casket, which probably overturned and dumped the body, which was never recovered.
