We got moved in to Birmingham. Ill be going back up to my lease this weekend, and hunt Friday even and Saturday to finish up my season. Hoping something moves. Would love my first buck, but honestly would take another doe with my bow if I could (I know, terrible management, blah blah blah)

Planning to hunt Friday & Saturday and next Friday. I'm just seeing does and nothing is pushing them. I don't feel great about it and I've hunted A LOT in a January. I need my luck to turn and I'm probably not going to be super picky if any kind of buck comes in.

Well guys, I couldn't get it done with a buck this year! Didn't see any buck worth mentioning (just a couple spikes n such) all season. Good luck to the rest of you who get to hunt the rest of the week!

You hunted hard Jono. I'm hunting Friday but it would take a miracle. I'm just not on much. I'm going through the motions. Like when you hit a pop fly and you run it out because just maybe....

I am done as well. I killed an 8 that I misjudged and killed a pretty nice 6 and several does. all in all had a pretty decent year.

It's been a slow year for sure. I'm going Friday to give it that one last shot. I did accidentally kill a small 6 last weekend. I thought it was a nice 7 I had been getting pics of moving through a thicket. It was a fun hunt but disapointing when I saw it was the wrong deer. I the last 3 weeks I've let a 5, two 6's, and an 8 pass because they were young. 3 of them were either trailing or chasing, so it's been upbeat. I still have a big 9 and a nice 8 in the area, so maybe one of them will slip up Friday. It's been a good time with you guys anyway, even if we didn't make a run for the title.

Yea I threw in the towel as well in Alabama. Worst year I have ever had since I was a kid. I'm gonna try Mississippi now until the 15th.

Well no cigar for me today, but my buddy blade from here got an 11pt on our place so at least we had one good buck harvested.
