Back wall is solid on both. Both draw smooth, but the NoCam system is smoother.

Back wall is solid on both. Both draw smooth, but the NoCam system is smoother. I shot a NoCam set at 65# at a dealer and I couldn't believe it was that heavy. Felt like 50#. Sorry not trying to derail here but it was really nice.

Back wall is solid on both. Both draw smooth, but the NoCam system is smoother. I figured that. The NoCam was a used bow, I didn't realize that. Neither will have a warranty. I found a new Chill R for less than $600, seems like a good price. I need to search more though. I guess the Chill series being phased out kills the warranty.

There's no warranty because you wouldn't be the original owner. One good thing about Mathews, you can new parts for every single model they've ever produced. Every single one. I know for fact that isn't the case for Bowtech, Hoyt or PSE.

This was my third year with the Chill R. Smooth draw, solid back wall with the rock mods. It originally cam with 80% let off regular mods. The back wall was a little mushy. Then they started making 75% and 85% rock mods with a cable stop. I perfer the bigger valley with the 85 and still plenty fast.
I did shoot the no cam. Nice bow and very smooth draw. But IMO the draw wasn't much better than the chill r. And the r is significantly faster.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy the Chill R, I think the Chill series bows might be the best dual cam bows ever made. I've never had the Chill R, but it's the very same bow as the Chill X, only shorter ATA. The Chill X is an awesome bow, & it's won a lot of money & tournaments. (I shot my personal best scores with the Chill X) Here's a pic of my newest one (I think this is my 7th Chill X) Robinhedd
