This one flew under the radar. In his last day in office, his administration banned lead bullets and fishing weights from federal property, meaning national parks and forests. What a crock of chit.

Yep, this could affect fresh, fly and salt fishing along with hunting. It was Obama's final F-You to the gun and outdoors industry.

Maybe obummer needs to eat some lead and see if his dumb ace will fall out. I swear the people in office could screw up a wet dream.

The exact reason why stuff like this makes it unseen.

Heck, this basically bans all hunting in national forests except archery.

I'm confused? What were "we" supposed to do? O kept it in his pocket till he was walking out the door. Now, our legislators will have to waste time backtracking to fix this. If they don't fight it, then they won't get the vote in next elections.

The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

Just more of a comment on the fact that it is something that actually effects a hobby(hobbies) all of us have, but we tend to get more worked up over jbc saying we should be kind to children.

I have no argument with you on your point.

This was pretty much a stab at all the "gun-clinging, Rednecks" who voted against Hillary and the Democratic Party.

This is from the comment section at the bottom of the article.

Read the law before you get too concerned. Very pertinent details where left out of the article.

Doesn't take effect until 2022"...Require the use of nontoxic ammunition and fishing tackle to the fullest extent practicable for all activities on Service lands, waters, and facilities by January 2022"

automatically sunsets before it takes effect if not reaffirmed."...if we do not amend, supersede, or revoke it, the provisions of this Order will terminate on July 31, 2018."

The real purpose was to start studying the issue.

I had much rather be tried by twelve than carried to my grave by six!!!!

Now, that is good information to have before jumping up and down and screaming about abuse of power.

I guess we are all so accustomed to that Jackass administration abusing their power, that something like an all out ban on lead, and the timing of it (last day) would be taken as right on par for them.
