Martin I think. It is nuts!!! We are 2.5 hours away and would love to have a getaway there but don't have $400,000 laying around. Would love to just have a small place with good access. Oh well. We are close to the bear creek lakes but have outgrown them and BCDA is ridiculous.

Trip Promax's on a pontoon boat is insanity. that is roughly 930 hp total.
I used to drag outboards and would not ride in it out of fear it is a nightmare waiting to happen.

I'd look real hard for a Baja Islander in the 22-25' range with an open bow and a 454 or 502 engine. Resale is pretty strong on those, so if you didn't like it you could get out easier.

You just gave me one hell of an idea. I'm taking my 14' alumnacraft and painting her fighting lady yellow, and putting on trip motors. That way I can be cool like all the other people in central Alabama with saltwater boats. REGULATOR 14 will look really cool on the side.
