So deer hunting is not going the way I want it too this year so I figured I'd give hoggin a try. Best place for me to go is the Mobile Delta because it is not too far from me. I have been to the Delta a total of zero times. Not looking for anyone to give up there honey-holes but if someone wanted to point this new guy in the right direction. For instance, what is the best parking area? From there I will probably figure it out (hopefully). Is it best to stand hunt or stalk? I'll take any pointers you got. I have no access to a boat so when I go I will be walking in.

Gonna be difficult without a boat in my opinion. You wanting upper or lower delta info.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

My phone screen does not always work right, usually a lot of misspelled words....

Probably lower delta. I believe I've found a parking area just off I65. I'm sure the area is saturated with other hunters though.

X2 on having the boat. The parking area east of saraland gets hunted to death but if you hike way in the back where it actually gets wet you might have a chance. If you have a bike and a game cart those will help you a lot.

It is easier to fool a man than to convince him he has been fooled.

Upper delta is more walk in friendly.

Mobile Al,
I have killed several on the upper delta just parking at that gas line or power line whatever it is and just walking towards the water.

I prefer to stalk and kill mine. I shot three the other day while putting my damn climber on a tree.

Little of both I guess. We will start with killing.
