By the looks of Lake Catoma in Cullman, we are at the peak of the drought. I am surprised we are not on some serious water restrictions. That thing is LOW.

The ponds around here that rely on runoff to fill them are nowhere near half full yet.

We got A LOT of rain today, several inches, but the ponds are still less than half full. This drought was so severe it will takes rain like we got today, every week, for several months to replenish the ground water.

You guys down south weren't near as dry as we were.

All the ponds around the house that were way down are now very close to running over, one or two more rains like this weekend and i think we will be back to normal around here..

My pond is fed by runoff and rain only. The first pic is from November 28. The second one is from this morning. Yesterdayit was 6 inches below the spillway. This morning it's running over.
