I was kid A when I left my bike on the porch instead of in the the garage like I was told. When unknown person B stole my bike and my dad didn't spend any more bike money for 2 yrs when he paid half on one I payed the rest on student A learend his lesson.

I pretty certain that in Alabama there are some different contributory negligence statutes concerning kids that either completely limits or resticts contributory negligence claims against a minor. I forget the age classifications of when completely limits switches to restricted limits.

Unless it can be proven that B had intent to destroy the computer (it doesn't appear that is the case) it's a good opportunity to teach A. If you are irresponsible there can be expensive consequences. Tell him he has to work to pay off the computer. Simple truth.

I don't care if the backpack was blaze orange with a strobe light. If student A was one of my sons, they'd be SOL and would be buying themselves a new laptop.

Student A probably didn't have to buy the $2000 laptop but they would be paying for the new one. Just to teach responsibility.

Somebody would be toting an ass whooping, either by a parent or the person that ran it over
There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??

Surely not.
