Anyone have the load data for the Kyle Smith TSS 20 gauge?

I believe it was a waterfowl load and uses Blue dot for the powder?

I want it for my daughter for turkey hunting.

God Bless,
David B.

I've got it, but it's saved as a picture from the old web site. PM me your email and I'll send it to you. I loaded some for a young cousin and he killed his first gobbler with it. It's a great load for kids.

One ounce. My cousin said he got over 200 in the 10" ring with the little gun they are using. That was with 9.5 shot. I'd rather use it than any 3.5" lead load.

Edit - this load runs well over 1200 fps, which is a lot faster than needed for turkey. I cut back on the powder charge by a grain, and you could probably cut back more without a problem. Still, you don't wanna reduce a shotgun load by much without some testing. This load uses a 28 gauge wad inside of a CSD wad. Recoil is about like any 20 gauge one ounce load. If that is a lot for your daughter, you might check with Hal and see if he has a load with even less recoil. A 7/8 oz load at 1000 fps could still be deadly and have very little recoil at all, but I'm not aware of a load like that being developed.

But if your daughter is big enough to handle a standard 20 gauge one ounce load, this one is great.

Sounds like you're hooked up. But FYI, I have 20 ga data from 9/16 oz up to 1-7/8 oz, so lots of options for kids, waterfowl, etc., in addition to turkey loads.

Thanks Hal!

Anything you feel would be appropriate for a 2.75" 20 gauge for turkey hunting with lower recoil for my daughter would be appreciated.

God Bless,
David B.
