I must say having grown up in the heart of Earthquake country I do prefer them to tornados.

The cell west of Meridian, MS looks nasty. Something by to keep an eye on if it holds together.

We're fine but we weren't really in the bad looking areas.

My family in southeast Georgia is getting hammered. I have a 1st cousin whose house got hit in Baxley, Ga. My brother is a guide in the Okeefenokee Swamp, he said that a tornado just went through the swamp. Those people are not accustomed to tornadoes and they don't have safe places. It could be really bad before it's all over with. Pray for the Booger(Bowman) family.

I pray that these storms spare the lives of those that do have property damage.

Something that we need to understand here is that even though the month is January, the temps and weather patterns for the past week or so are April/May. If we have another couple of weeks of this weather we will have trees budding and without fail there will be killing temps in February, March or even April. That's what happened in April 1987.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Maybe get them a crash course if you can communicate. Helmets of any sort for everyone if possible (bike helmets, hard hats, motorcycle helmets, lacrosse helmets - it doesn't matter), sturdy boots/shoes, move into the center of the house, get OUT of mobile homes and into a shelter or a house. Put your id in your pocket so you can be identified if needed.

Praying helps I'm sure but the Lord helps those who help themselves.

Forecast soundings in North Florida and Georgia are off the charts scary. This has potential to be really bad.

We haven't had any tornados on Dauphin Island but the wind is blowing like a tropical storm right now. I just lost a landing net, blew out of my boat! Maybe I can fish it off the bottom.

May God be with everyone in that general area today. Nothing worse than a widespread tornado outbreak.
