that far left hog is a big one.

I have no doubt that the deer will tolerate hogs sometimes especially where they have been on the same properties for many years.
But, I guess I just don't work any of those properties. LOL I was sitting in Sumter County a couple of weekends ago on a big food plot. It was 100 yards wide by 250 yards long. There was a doe and fawn feeding in the middle when a sow and 5 little piglets came into the field via the back left corner. The deer ran like their hair was on fire.
After I shot the sow, the deer started coming back into the field and I ended up killing a very nice 8 pointer. The landowner was hunting on another even larger field and he shot a boar early in the afternoon hunt and later in the afternoon killed a nice 8 pointer as well.

Turkeys have spooked deer out of my field. Better exterminate all them! LOL. You're comparing apples to spaceships and you know it. How? The discussion is simply about spooking deer out of a field. Heck, those ornery ass spikes are THE worst!!!

The posts I really like are the ones that EHH makes when he is mad because somebody spooks 'his' hogs and he is not seeing any. Or, when he cannot get a permit to hunt hogs that are not there.....
LOL Hogs that are not there? You drunk?

I've had this tiny piece of property since 2004 so I know it pretty good. The pigs showed up for the first time 3 years ago in the 100 years that the family has owned it. When you go from getting 1,000 pics of deer a week to damn near nothing but pigs, you start shooting pigs. When you sit in a tree and not see a single deer for 4 or 5 hunts and you only see pigs, you shoot pigs. When the pigs take over the property and you have multiple cameras running (including plot watchers) and the mass majority of what you get on camera is pigs, you shoot pigs. When the farmers crops/fields are getting hammered by pigs, you shoot pigs. Not sure why you're trying to target me on this subject but if you think me shooting these pigs is why I'm not seeing deer, you are way wrong. If you knew the property then you would have a better understanding of what's going on. We use to kill tons of deer, yotes and bobcats here. The deer want nothing to do with the pigs. The way this property is setup, I've got all the food and the pigs don't get far from it. If you're ever down this way, I'd be glad to drink a beer with you and show you.

A fellow who does not want hogs, and does not ENJOY hunting them, should invest in one of the cellular traps if he TRULY wants to minimize pressure on his property as much as possible. It and a spin feeder will keep activity at a minimum AND not replicate the same type of hunting activity that the deer recognize as Hunter Pressure.
J/S I'll be back at the shop shortly and I'll post a pic of what I'm working on

J/S I'll be back at the shop shortly and I'll post a pic of what I'm working on Ten fo Seriously, I would just build a big corral and install a feeder until I got en coming. Then, rent a gate with cellular remote. It is not a fast process. But, it IS the least impact on a small property in regards to pressure. And that is coming from someone who has been labeled a Hog Lover and Trapping Hater! LMAO
