Interested in owning both calibers, just because. Looking for any good deals on any good rifle in either. Leaning towards a a closeout T3 in 270wsm, though. Post em if you got em.

If you like buying over priced hard to find ammo then go for it. the 7mm Rem mag would be my choice because of easy to find factory ammo and superior performance of both of these calibers. Plus all 270's are gay.

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

I have a 7mm, I like it, a lot. I also like guns, and want another one.

I took a hard look at both of those calibers and realized, like Reloader79 said, that there's not anything they will do that my 7mag won't do better. I went with a 25-06 for my last rifle purchase and couldn't be happier with it.

257wby eats barrels if you plan on shooting a bunch. FYI.

Bingo! After the first couple of guns, it's got nothing to do with need or practicality. It's just because...I WANT ONE!! If you think finding 270 WSM or 257 Weatherby ammo is hard, you haven't looked in my gun safe. It's one reason why I handload my ammo.

Get the 257. I just bought one and it's awesome.
