It's been about 4 weeks since I've updated this. Jackson county is still holding on to the top spot for reported deer.

I know we're being funny, but I'll say this.. I've been a strong supporter of this DCNR in regards to their deer efforts, BUT the removal of Fall turkey season is a head scratcher for sure. I live in one of the few areas that even had a Fall season, and goodness knows there couldn't have been enough of us to even blip the radar, so that was a bizarre decision.

I would think that the number for does killed should be much higher than buck kills. More like Dallas co. and Bullock, almost 2:1, the 828:803 in Jackson Co. I'm not buying it at all.
