I use them regularly in the woods generally to see daytime deer movement. If they move at night I really don't care. The one's I have image quality is poor due to very small file size, but like I said I am watching for movement not identifying a particular deer.

I thought long and hard and got a Browning Strike Force instead. Has the plot watcher feature (with good software) and can be used as a regular trail cam. Browning is cheaper by like $50 too (at least on sale). Using price as the determining factor on shoot or not to shoot will leave you holding the bag everytime. Mid range priced trail cameras are all basically the same. Mid range priced trail cameras just throw in different gizmos to compete against what the other doesn't have and then they lack one thing as well. All a sales gimmick.

**Don't waste $$ on those midrange priced cameras**

I actually own the Browning strike force cams and the plot watcher feature is not a gimmick. It's legit and has really good software that's free to go with it. Plus it's a regular trail cam too if you want....and it's still cheaper.

We run several of the plotwatcher pro's and love them. It allows you to basically "sit" in one spot all day and see the activity. Ours will run about 20-25 days before the batteries die using the best resolution and 5 second picture intervals. Alan, mine will go at least a month on a fresh set of duracells, I have had a 32gb card fill up before the batteries die. That was probably about a six week run during post season.

The PlotWatcher video feature that is available on some other cameras is legit and pretty cool. I have some PW cameras along with Stealth and Browning. All have done well and have been in the woods for 2+ years through all conditions.
