I'm constantly searching the dial, looking for decent news talk radio. I rarely listen to music.

Seems like the radio only plays talking idiots or commercial adds in the mornings. I guess that's why i enjoy driving my old truck more since the radio doesn't work in it!!

Thank God for Sirius XM. I rarely listen to any radio anymore. Maybe the local sports show in Montgomery for my 5 minute commute to work but that's it. Rick & Bubba never did anything for me. I did like some of John Boy and Billy stuff. Mad Max, Hoyt, and Ax Ike usually got a laugh outta me. Way to many damn commercials for me tho.

Yep. Rick & Bubba are unlistenable. Actually, Rick Burgess is unlistenable. Bubba is actually moderately intelligent and from everything I've heard and the couple of times I've been around them myself, seems to be a genuinely nice dude. Rick Burgess came off as a pompous ass the one or two times I was around him and based on the opinions of a couple of friends who've had direct business dealings with him.

I enjoy the Legend 96.9 in Dothan if you enjoy older country music. I installed a 20' antenna so I can hear it west of Andalusia.

I haven't heard them on the radio in a long time. Is the crusty old man still doing his thing? Robert B. Rayford I think was his name.

Anyways, their spicy BBQ sauce is pretty good for store bought stuff.

Rarely listen to these type shows, but some of the segments on JB & B are funny. I liked Robert D. Raiford before he retired and the "Axe Ike" segment can be hilarious.

Agree. Haven't listened to them in years (didn't even know RDR retired), but some of their skits like Lipless Man and Reverend Billy Ray Collins were hilarious.

And yes...Rick and Bubba are horrible.

I just cancelled all three of my XM subscriptions ( wife's SUV, My truck and work car ) and I'm already having withdrawals after being a customer for eight years. Tune in radio app and I tunes through the auxiliary jack in my work car has helped. I usually listen to 106.5 FM talk out of Mobile or WJOX out of Bham. I've tried Rick and Bubba occasionally the last couple of months but have started growing tired of it. I haven't listen to John Boy and Billy for a while but thought it was very funny when JB would do lip less because I have a friend that sounds just like that and plus he is a close talker.

Used to listen to JohnBoy & Billy a buncha years ago...always laughed when they had their agent on the phone "uhh, hold on, Babe, bigger name on the other line!"

I listen to the Lex & Terry show on TK 101.5 in Pensacola, most mornings, these days.

I enjoy listening to Rick and bubba. The skits and jb&b got kind of old. After the show is over I usually switch to 103.9

I listened to lex and terry for a good while but their political stance and babble got on my damn nerves.

Hadn't listened in a long time, I did like Robert D Rayford though.
