I just read an article that says he took the job at FAU and will most likely take a huge pay cut. Article stated that he makes 1.4 million at Bama as OC and that FAU wasn't going to pay more than $600K for a new HC. That just doesn't make sense to me. Why take a HC position that has that much of a pay cut? Why not just stay where you are at? Maybe he's willing to lose that much money just to get back into the HC rank? Oh well... ...really ain't none of my business any way.

Leroy, how they passed on you for HC is surprising. That's an astounding series of drawings!
FAU opens the 2017 season by hosting Navy and also travels to Wisconsin for game No. 3; they have four games scheduled (publicly announced) so he may have a hand in adding 1-2 more puffs and a couple of big name games for money and exposure. They were 3-9 this season. Would not be surprised if they're a little better next year and much better in 2018.
For whatever faults, he's a good coordinator and playcaller. If he gets a few players and he should in Boca, he could do well.

Apparently, staying at bammer wasn't an option available to him and he wanted a HC job more than being Coach O's OC, if that was available to him at LSU as widely reported.

Maybe he wants to pay less to his ex, or it was part of Saban's process for him to get going (anywhere but here)...
The left lane is for the the purpose of moving the flow of traffic forward regardless of the speed limit. If your impeding the flow of traffic get your ass in the right lane. It's really that simple...
