Slipped into the spot I had picked out, a little before shooting light. No trees to climb (clearcut). Set up my lawn chair and got comfortable.
Not long after sitting down, I had a weird sensation that ridge in front of me was sinking. I realized that the back legs of the chair was what was sinking.
I couldn't do anything but ride it. The ridge, then stars, the the brushpile behind me. All off this happened in very slow motion. My head hit the ground first, and then my shoulders. I was all screwed up, part in the brushpile, part in the chair, and my feet in the air. It was like a turtle on his back. Like to have never gotten back on my feet again. Headed north a couple hundred yards and set up shop again.(on hard ground) slap

I was running a land line a couple of years ago in a extremely thick area with cat claw vines all over the place. I got my feet twisted in the vines and fell backwards into a bunch of junk. Couldn't get my feet under me because of the vines and there wasn't a bush big enough to pull up on. I was TURTLED!! I had to get my knife and cut the vines till I could finally get my old butt up.

Dammit Ernie you're gonna have to get a Caddy to follow you and help you up!

One day the right woman will come along and the next thing you know you'll be wearing her underwear!

I'm almost 100% certain most everyone on here has had a fall in the woods.
And if you haven't, it's coming.
Can't help but laugh, and it's your buddy, you laugh harder.

I took my sister hunting earlier this year. When we got in the shootin house I realized a small pine was blocking most of our view...so I got out and didnt have my saw but thought I could break it off with my weight...It broke alright but I landed straight on my back lookin at the sky with my sister dying laughing from the shooting house haha

Wish there was a video of this. I can picture this chain of events.

Dang Ernie, could've been worse. Could've been walking through flooded timber on a 20 degree morning and kick a log and go completely under, and have dick head friends that wouldn't leave the hunt until 10 that morning. Y'all been seeing any good ones out there this year?

Mangler-I need a nurse (female) and not a caddy. John-been there done that and even had ice cut my cheapass waders one time. Heck of it is, I fell mid morning and can't get my 7-08 back to zero.
I will be sore in the AM.
