I'm settled in, back in the same tree in Russell county that I had an encounter with a 140s 10 the two weeks ago.

Back in Marlette MI with my trusty 12 Guage Ithaca shotgun. Still hoping to see one of the two big bucks I saw during bow season.

2 does came through a few minutes ago

At Black Warrior WMA. Had 2 guys (one in camo with No orange and another in street clothes) walk by me around 2 PM so I got down and went to a different spot. Not sure why they would walk in there knowing I was in there. Didn't see either of them carrying a bow.

Maybe they shot one yesterday afternoon? You should have told them to get the hell out of there! Nothing suprises me on public land.

Late report, upgraded my phone today and wound up with neither of them being activated! It's boring sitting in a tree with nothing to do! LOL

Killed a big doe @ 4:30, she dressed 86 lbs! Had 5 does come up the ridge eating acorns, and simultaneously had a single doe coming from the other direction. Watched them within 30 yards for probably 10 mins just making sure no other deer (bucks) would show up, then I heard something coming up the dim road I was setting on, eased around and looked and it was this old gal by herself. Let her get broadside @ 24 yards and deflated her, she ran MAYBE 20 yards and gave it up!

I told myself maybe they had shot one that morning and got someone to come help look for it. They were 80-100 yards away. I just let them walk by and got down to move. Talked to a guy after dark that said his stand got stole today over there by 3 guys in a black z71.
