Hunting Black Warrior this morning. Set up on some White Oaks in some cutover. A few scrapes and rubs within 30 yards. Good luck y'all.
It is hard to kill or catch anything sitting on the couch!

Dang this place will make you want to quit hunting or scout like hell. I guess i need to get down and scout......, for the people wanting to try Bankhead out, because a couple big deer have been killed. Bring your tail on out here and you will be very disappointed after a week of hunting. Lol. This place needs to be shutdown for a few years.

Bring your tail on out here and you will be very disappointed after a week of hunting. Lol. This place needs to be shutdown for a few years. I was in the same boat last year and very frustrated. Almost ready to quit deer hunting because of Bankhead. This year has been a different story over there for me and I'm hunting some of the same areas as last year. I've hunted over there 17 times this season and seen deer on about 12 of those hunts. Killed 4 because we ran out of deer meat because I didn't kill one last year. Gonna try to show some restraint and wait on a big buck from here on out because I have a full freezer and I'm starting to feel guilty for shooting them over there as scarce as they are sometimes. But, you're right, people coming because of all the big deer being killed are in for a rude awakening. None of the deer I've seen have been big bucks.

Set up on the edge of some Hardwoods and 1 year old cutover. Bedding area is about 200 yards away. Now if I can just have some deer to show up.

First time on private land this year. Got off work at 245 and it was just down the rd so decided to give it a shot. A customer gave me permission and I have only hunted here a time or 2 last year. Never seen one here but there are scrapes and rubs in this logging rd. I'm set up on the edge of the logging rd that is the divider between a thick bedding area bordered by hemlocks and a white oak flat next to a creek.
