I caught this coyote Friday in the same trap as the male the day before. Another male, makes three in two days out of 6 traps set.

Give a shout when I'm home, and I can bring it to you. When I'm off the ship, I don't have a schedule and usually nothing better to do!

Good job Jon and Big Rack!

I couldn't let y'all have all the fun. I put out 40 dp coon traps, 4 coyote sets and baited a hog trap this afternoon.

I put out 8 sets today, and it was work in this dry dirt. Hope something produces after digging and staking that concrete dirt.

Oh you have no idea! I set in the river swamp today and the cracks in the ground were 8"s deep. Actually had to go find some sand to bed the traps in. I'll take a bucket of Pete Moss to mix with sand for remakes this week. I've gotta pull all these Friday.

Every year, this thread makes me want to buy traps. I think if I get some extra spending money this year, I'm going to pull the trigger. I need me a nice coon skin cap...

Yes sir the conditions ain't good in the pnut field I'm in either. Had to shorten the chain on my stakes to be able to drive them in. As hard as the ground is I'd never be able to drive them as far as usual.

Noticed a few tracks showing up last week, we made a set With rotten steak we had on hand, in the area Sunday afternoon. Had this one this morning, we re set it again. Thanks To Hank for all the advice, worked like a charm.

Congrats on the coyote Bustinbeards!

Had a pretty good first run this morning. No action on my 4 coyote sets or the hog trap but we did catch a few coons.

I made 9 sets today, hard work in red clay as hard as concrete.
I've caught 1 coyote this year so far.

I'll be making 9 more sets tomorrow and Wednesday. Then 12 DP's for coon and a couple Conibears for beaver as well as a few snares.

Mighty weak this morning! Didn't see hardly any signs that game moved last night. Hopefully tonight will be better.
