I've never hunted there so I can really comment on it.

Never hunted Perdido but I work in that area and travel through there almost ever day (also hunt close to by).

There are plenty of deer in the area, however it can be very difficult to hunt because of all the thick brush (as you've probably seen). Don't get discouraged as the deer are there. It can be a world of difference starting in mid-January when the Bucks finally start moving in daylight. I would think there would be some really good bow hunting in late season between the gun hunts.

I've been hunting the past 4-5 years. Know a good bit about the place. But it's so big so it's kinda difficult. Plenty of deer but are very skittish and most are nocturnal

Thanks. I bumped him about 200 yards from where I shot him. He's bleeding bad though. Gonna check again tonight .
