Thats about like my morning. I had 3 different deer in easy kill range but passed on them all because I was watching a buck off in the distance..he never came my way and eventually the others were out of range. Saw 9 deer or so total.

I missed.... I hope it was the smaller of the two. Left my arrow there trying to get out of there quietly. I can't get my pins close enough together for 20,30,49 so I'm set up for 20,40 and I forgot this. I will be buying a new site tomorrow. Any suggestions?

Hha. I was always set on fixed pins until I tried a single pin.

If your bow is shooting that flat, you should set it at 25-35-45 anyways

I can't get my head around 25 35 45! Lol but that is what I am going to try before I buy a new sight.

I got my bow set up to shoot everything from 0-30 with the top pin. And 40 yds with the 2nd pin. I took the third pin out but will set it up for 45 or 50 next year. I also replaced the batteries in my sight light. Having done all of this I probably won't see a deer the rest of bow season! But if I do, I am good to go.

Good luck! It's so dang hot! I went this afternoon and about sweated to death, plus got skunked. I'm gonna hunt both mornings, probably watch football tomorrow afternoon.

I'm gonna head to Kentucky sometime next week, looks like a front coming in Thursday.

Got a 90lb doe this morn. Not a very good looking shot but she only made it 60yds, so I guess it was a good shot! Could see her white belly from my arrow. Had 3 people in camp this weekend. Even though the plot are dirt the acorns are dropping good. We actually had more success on water oaks than we did white oaks. We saw deer on 9 of 12 sits and managed 5 shots on does. 1 miss, 2 not recovered, 2 recovered. All in all a very good weekend for record high temps no food plots! Ran off and didn't get any pics of her so I'll have to kill another one for the competition.

Glad you could break the ice jlbuc. I didn't go this weekend but I took Friday off so hopefully I can tag one Friday morning. I'm just itching to put an arrow through something.

That's awesome maybe you'll see some pre rut activity. I used to take one big trip a year, but now being a new business owner and new father of a 9month old those trips are a no go this morn. This season will be the least I've hunted in about 6 years. Hopefully maybe it will keep the pressure down on my main piece that until this year got hunted about 4 days/week. This year I'll be lucky to get one sit a week out there.

It should be wide open with the front coming in. My buddy up there is reporting big bucks on their feet. Does will be getting right over the next week. Hopefully I can atleast have some exciting hunts. I'm packing now.

Hey buddy! Welcome. Congrats on your new grand baby. Don't worry you haven't missed much. Ain't hardly worth hunting right now. Maybe this lil front coming through this weekend will be a start in the right direction.

Rattled in one shooter who winded me at 30 yds, but otherwise uneventful in Kentucky. May run back up soon. Hope y'all are having some luck

Nothing here. I'm a weekend warrior theses days so I'll prob get 2-3 sits in this weekend. I shot a coyote in my best spot last weekend and he died like 30 yds from the stand. I didn't move him like a dummy now my whole area stinks to high heaven and it covered up in vultures.

I'm down your way this weekend. Russell county, right by the Meade plant on 165. Rut is on from what I hear. Hopefully something pans out, I'm due some good luck.
