Just saw where Vegas has the spread at Alabama -17.5 ,that seems like a big number considering both teams are hot right now.

And also a month out. They're luring people into betting with irrational emotions while teams are hot. That line may not change, who knows. But as stated 1.4 million times, Vegas is in the business of making money.

Bama and aTm seemed like a big spread, but we see how that turned out.

They know what they are doing. Like someone said, this is to get the money on AU right now. If AU looks good again against the Crenshaw Countians this weekend look for the line to tighten and continue to tighten to start luring the Alabama money. Then whatever the disparity in bets is will then be hedged at another book making service.

This is how sport books operate. They don't care who wins because they have always hedged their bets with another bookie. They make money from the 10% losers premium that has to be paid for losing. If it wouldn't get you in trouble, I'd become a bookie myself. It is a no way to lose business. Vegas just does it legally and in a much bigger scale than our local guys.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
