I know how to feed dove, shoot dove, and clean dove. That's about it. We currently have 2 fields with some birds coming to them and we are planning on shooting Saturday or Sunday afternoon. I'm the only one that can make it out there Friday and It is up to me to pick which field we are going to shoot. Should I ride through both of the fields about 430 or 5 on Friday afternoon and see which has the most birds? Will they come back the next day? Or should I sit and watch from back off the fields for 30 minutes or an hour each? Thanks.

I don't see any harm in riding through there. All they'll do is get up and fly to the other side of the field or go up in some trees.

Taking an hour or two to watch them in the afternoon to see when and where they are flying around would be your better option though, at least to me.

How far apart are the fields?

We will burn that bridge when we get there

It is the better option, just can't be both places at once and don't wanna make the wrong call. thanks

I will let you guys know if we have any birds. Most years, we put a lot more time and effort into this stuff, but Just haven't been able to stay on top of it this year due to more pressing issues. That's how I got put in charge of this weekend. Haha. We've only got enough folks coming to cover one field so if there are plenty of birds in both, I will let you know and y'all are welcome to come

If you are invited on a hunt, I would walk the field and make sure no piles of milo or other some such are scattered around in little piles. Trust me on this one. Otherwise, good luck.
