I don't see any harm in riding through there. All they'll do is get up and fly to the other side of the field or go up in some trees.
Taking an hour or two to watch them in the afternoon to see when and where they are flying around would be your better option though, at least to me. It is the better option, just can't be both places at once and don't wanna make the wrong call. thanks

I always just ride through about an hour and half before dark to check them. You'll be fine doing that.

If you are invited on a hunt, I would walk the field and make sure no piles of milo or other some such are scattered around in little piles. Trust me on this one. Otherwise, good luck.
