Pretty happy with the 40acre tract I'm hunting this year vice all the trouble last yr on the club with poaching, vandalism and theft. I still don't have my camper back from all the damage that was done but should have shortly.

Anyhow, I'm hunting a 40acre tract that's privately owned by a disabled vet with one leg. Asked me to put fields in for him and I could hunt, to include wife can hunt. All parties couldn't be happier. I've killed two does and he's set up for the gun season when he will hunt a few times.

The ugly, I could tell right away people have been hunting his land and I tried to let him know in the nicest way. Well, we were up on the land last weekend and cameras were stolen in the hardwoods. Poor guy was crushed. I guess I'm numb after everything I've been through with larger tracts where people poach and steal your chit all the time. It just kills me that a wounded vet saved to buy his honey hole and a piece of paradise and sorry a$$ people are on his land and stealing. I wish I lived closer so there could be more of a presence up there. Rant over

Establish a relationship with the neighbors, they could help keep a lookout or could possibly be the culprit. It does suck. Good luck with this ordeal

Mount a broken cam, then put a good cam 18-20 ft up a tree pointed at it. Then prosecute. If more people mounted their cams up in a tree fewer would be stolen. Good luck. hunt safe

Thomas Jefferson. The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Life is too short to only hunt and fish on weekends!

If being a dumbass was fatal some of you would be on your death bed!

Get the game warden involved. That's what I did here on our farm. Worked for me.

That stinks. I'm not really sure what you can do short of catching them red handed. Some folks will surely recommend some sort of improvised explosive device, but don't go there laugh

One thing is true. If you have land in Alabama, someone is hunting it. It tickles me to hear someone say some little old lady owns some land and doesn't let anyone hunt it. That may be true, but I can assure you, someone is hunting it. Especially if they know no one is supposed to be hunting.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Yeah won't do anything stupid or lesson learned from last club, provoke. This land is remote and there are numerous privately owned tracts and there are clubs all around. I've learned the hard way if you pi$$ them off they can make your life more miserable quick especially when your not there often and in this case it's not mine in any way shape or fashion. I will do the camera up a tree thing just to get pics and show the old man I've befriended that's the last house on the dirt road. He don't like many but fortunately he's ok with me.

Not sure if this could work for you, but it worked for a friend. It may cost you a little hunt time, but may help. My friend had the same issue, he waited till a Saturday hunt and shot severa clips through his AR at different intervals through the day. The first clip he shot was just before first light. The last clip just after dark. He would do it at different spots on the property. Throw a little hand gun fire to break things up. They got the idea.
