Got mine yesterday. Never had any trouble from em. The gal giving it said, "Your arm is going to be sore." Thought she was crazy. Barely felt the shot when she gave it. Damn if my arm ain't sore today and a bit of a lump where she gave it.

I will never take another, my first an only got sick as hell. Never again

I got a flu shot and a pneumonia shot yesterday. Both of my shoulders are sore.

"sick as hell" if you get the flu let me know how that feels. The first time I had it I was at the hunting camp on one of those rare times that I was there by myself. Got up that morning and didn't feel so good but went and got in a stand anyway. After an hour I decided I better get down, walked to a clear-cut still trying to hunt, and sit on a stump. About 45 minutes later I decided I was alone and if I was going to get home that week I needed to leave NOW. Two weeks later I was able to hunt again. After suffering through body aches and a fever that made me wanna curl up into a ball on the floor, I'll take the shot.

Shot always made me sick. I've gotten the mist the past few years and haven't had any issues with it.

i get it every year and i have had the flu one time, it aint a 100%.

They make me sick. I get the flu almost every year but the shot is just not happening.

Having the flu is no joke. While the shot is not 100% effective, it does lessen the symptoms even if you do get the flu after being immunized. I take mine every year.
It is generally thought that anyone who gets a cold or other URI symptoms after taking the flu shot was already infected with the a virus before being immunized for the flu. Taking the shot has nothing to do with it.

I never took the flu shot and have never had as much as as cold. Being a nurse I was made to start taking the flu shot 2 years ago but if the hospital had not required it I still would not be taking it. Just another foreign body being introduced.

Soooo, you haven't had the polio vaccine, measles vaccine, diphtheria vaccine, hepatitis B vaccines, etc. ???? As a nurse, you should know better.

They always make me feel a little run down a couple of hours after getting it. That is why I try to get them in the afternoon and take a couple of Tylenol and I'm fine until I can climb in the hay, for sleeping not rolling, since I will still feel like a bad cold is coming on. By morning, I'm fine. Never got the flu in years I've gotten a shot. Have had the flu in years without a shot. I'll take the shot. Got mine a couple of weeks ago.

Yes I've had them all but there are so many strains of the flu that they just guess which one is going to hit this year. So you can take the flu shot and still get the flu.
