Had to do a Halloween candy walk tonight with the kiddos and don't have time to do a homemade pizza so we doing box pizza. Sliced up a mater n grabbed some fresh basil out the herb garden. Hopefully it's some count. Any of y'all doctor up box foods? I also like adding a can of diced maters to hamburger helper, makes a world of difference.

Back when I was a broke college student, I'd throw some stuff in ramen noodles. It made a world of difference at the time.

Sliced jalapenos, beacon bits, pepparoni, more cheese too.

Heck I still do that every now and then! I like adding frozen peas/carrots/broccoli to it along with teriyaki sauce and rotisserie chicken

To a pizza ? Thats just wrong ! Maybe carrots out of a jalapeno jar, but no broccoli hell naw Thats un American. Have you tried the ice box pizzas made by walmart ? They are cheap and better than RED BARON !

Aldi or whatever the hell it's called has some good frozen pizza's. They've got some Tombstone knockoffs for $1.99 that are great for frozen pizzas.

Mama Rose is the greatest frozen pizza ever. Not sure if they still even make them but years ago they were awesome.

A girlfriend I had in high school was the first person I'd ever see do that. My family did it for years afterwards.

I even doctor up Pizza Hut pizza. Last Fri. I added Some shredded Cheddar, Firepit Hell sauce, roasted garlic, and a little chili powder. I popped it in the oven long enough to melt the Cheddar. It was GOOED.

Hence the add ons. Around here, if you want good pizza the only option is Mater's in Albertville or Gadsden. That or drive to Mata's in Anniston. They are really good, but pricey.

We just went to the Filling Station over in Crestwood last night. Damn good pizza. Good beer selection too. I had a Trim Tab draft, Mrs. Irish had a Tito's, lime and club soda and we had the Sicilian meat pizza and the bill was $25.

Fortunately we have some of the best pizza joints in the world in the Birmingham area, so much so that the hardest thing is deciding which one to go to: Post Office Pies, The Filling Station, Slice, Jim Davenports, etc...

Just around Trussville, we have Salvatores, Sanpeggios and Fox's Pizza, all good and all within 5 minutes of the house, so when we want pizza without the hassle of going out we usually get Irish Jr. to run pick us up one.

That said the ones in the refrigerated section at Aldi look pretty good. May try one one day.

I doctor mine by cooking them on the Traeger.

Anchovies

I take a tombstone or Red Baron and add more mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, bacon, jalapeños, sweet peppers, garlic, feta, and a little sharp cheddar on top. Then I cook it at about 600 degrees on the primo. I can't find pizza at a restaurant that I like better than these. The one in the pic has some boudin sliced up on top of it too. Dang good

I had one a few months ago. It was delicious, especially given the low price.
