Turn a timber into a round column without a lathe...

All the joinery that is going into those columns is kind of mind boggling.

The level of focus and concentration those guys have is amazing.

As a hobbyist wood worker, this video reveals to me how much I still have to learn.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

I've watched lots of their videos. They rough it out with an axe, while standing on it barefoot.

They apply perfection to everything they do.

lol I thought the same thing, but the round ones taper and are never the same size.

Those same guys used to build Toyota trucks that lasted forfuckingever.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

I'm sure their labor is dirt cheap over yonder

I'm sure that whatever those guys are building, the labor costs are irrelevant. Those guys are crafting something for someone who wants something special.

I guess my point is that there is something we can all learn from men like that who are extremely focused and filled with a desire to make something that is special and that future generations will appreciate the craftsmanship in it.
