What would you do if the next UA or AU game you watched or went to, a few (or all) of the players took a knee during the national anthem, a la Colin Kapernick?

I thought about this before the Auburn, Arkansas game Saturday. What would I have done? If you'd asked me last week, I'd have told you I'd walk out and never be back. When I pondered this, we had just got there, kids had watched the eagle fly, everything was great.

Would I have walked my family out and gone home? We were $250 in and my daughter had never been to a game. My wife would have understood, and my 11 yr old son would have after I explained it to him. Would I have been too cheap to stand with my convictions?

Let me say this first, I support CK's right to protest. Loathsome as that may be to me, it's his right. It's also my right to express my opinion by not watching the NFL, as have millions of others. He's free to express his opinion, he's just not free from the repercussions of it.

So what would I do? I think I'd be done with Auburn (or Alabama) football, at least for this year. What about the rest of you?

I'd express my opinion on a web forum in the hopes it would matter.

I'd stay at the game, address it if my family asked. Otherwise enjoy the experience. Those few don't represent the institution. Find a way to equally represent your perspective. Leaving probably won't do it.

Players are in the locker room during the anthem. Don't see that changing.

central ala,
It has gone from a "protest", if it really ever was, to people trying to draw attention to themselves.

If it happens in the stands, as a fellow fan you have options. But it MUST be anticipated the day before. The night before, get a mason jar, take the lid off, and put the opening over a yellowjacket nest hole. The next morning when the sun has warmed it up. Cautiously, put the lid back on jar with yellowjackets in it. Take the jar to the game, shake well, then set jar on ground amongst "protesters." RUN!! The protestors WILL stand up!!

I'm fixing to do some shirts in team colors that say "WE STAND" on the front. CLC wouldn't approve it with a team logo.

Y'all do realize it's 25 kids out of 101,000 right? Do you expect 101,000 to agree on anything else? We can't even agree that a man is a person with a wiener. Think about it. This is no different.

The story should REALLY be about how some folks disagreed with the majority and not a DANG thing happened to them in terms of violence or maybe even a cross word. That's a true sign of freedom and a peaceful society. Isn't that the society we all want?

They probably hauled them into Tuscaloosa on a bus, gave them a ticket and said they can be on TV if they just sit during the anthem.

Poor dumb white kid in the middle can't even protest right.
Aren't they supposed to hold one hand up, not two?
Looks like he's dancing in a school play.

Yeah, well, I always heard there were three kinds of suns in Kansas: sunshine, sunflowers, and sons-of-bitches.

Yes, hands up, the thing that never actually happened.

If you do Instagram find the video @oldrowofficial just posted. A veteran (or a guy at least claiming to be) walked down and stood right in front of her and sang it as loud as he could

The ones sitting always look goofy. Not just because they are sitting, they just look goofy in general. Definitely the democrat bunch.

It was a brilliant way to have a non-starter, from mixed parents, raised by white adoptive parents, to earn more money. And the NFL is taking the hit, along with naive kids.

I bet Hillary is impressed with this stunt.

If players do it then I will not watch another game nor buy another shirt/hat. I have had it with these people and will not support them or any institution that does if at all possible.
