It started last season with his dog charging and acting like he was gonna bite me. Well we had a few words back and forth and cops called twice. He told me i wasn't hunting up there no more and this and that. Police told him there was nothing he could do about it. So guess now this year he is just gonna start shooting his gun every morning around 8am. Really starting to piss me off. But guess nothing i can do. Just on my last nerve. Rant over

He don't even own the house. he just rents and don't hunt. Didn't even own a gun guess he bought one just to piss me off shooting. Thinking about next Saturday morning taking my ar's and at 7am just start shooting till i feel happy.

That could fall under the state's hunter harassment law if you wanted to contact law enforcement and pursue charges. If he is firing the gun intentionally to bother your hunting, or someone's tossing mullet remains on your property, y'all both could pursue charges.

I don't understand his problem with me. I don't even talk or look his way. I park my truck and hunt. But he just keeps on. Shoots 14 times and that's it. Last 2 mornings around 8am. But yet last year he said if i didn't call the cops back we wouldn't have anymore problems.

Be hard to prove hunter harassment IMO. He would have to admit it. Heck, my neighbors shoot year round. I would just hunt or give the appearance of hunting every chance I could. I would want to see how much he is willing to spend on ammo if I thought he was doing it just for me.

I'd also let the house owner know the law had been called on his renter twice.

This won't work. Seems like renters have more rights than owners. If you don't believe me, just try to evict them.

I also have dog issues. Unloading the tractor about 6 weeks ago, the neighbors seven (yes seven) dogs appeared. One was growling and very aggressive. He got about three foot from me and showed his teeth, I didn't have a pistol or anything with me. I just climbed up on the loader bucket and waited until they left which was about 10 minutes of growling and pissing on tires, etc.

I tried to replant last Wednesday evening when we were expecting rain. Same scenario all over again. This time I had my snake boots on and my Glock with me. When a different dog got about 5 foot away and growled, I took my pistol from the holster, and I was going to let him bite the snake boots before I pulled the trigger. He backed out on me and just kept growling and barking. I wouldn't going to kill him unless he tried to bite. I haven't ever bothered anyone's dogs, or their stuff in my life but these dogs are in line for a bad confrontation.

I am in the process of purchasing this tract of land, and as my wife calls it-In line to the throne. Fantastic hunting ground for over 40 years, but the constant harassment from the dogs has really affected the number of deer that stay on it now. The trails I see now are dog trails instead of deer trails. I have my hands tied as to an ethical solution to this problem.

There are several ethical things you could do, but it would make deer scarce too.

There'd be 7 dead dogs then if it was going on at my place. And no I'm no internet cowboy. I just don't feel like anyone's dogs have the right to just use my farm. There's several that tried it and weren't successful.
