My bow is consistently shooting low. I've about bottomed out the sights. I adjusted the sights and it shoots great for a while then starts hitting low again. I marked the sights so I know it isn't moving. I also marked the peep and it hasn't moved. Any thoughts?

What kind of rest do you have? It may be dropping.

Your rest isn't coming up all the way. The rest cord is slipping up the cable.

Is it something I could fix myself?

Draw the bow and check to see if the two white lines on the cocking knob line up at full draw. If they don't, tighten the release cord until they line up just as the bow drops into the let off when drawing. To tighten the cord you can either move it down the cable or loosen the set screw in the release knob and pull the cord from the front side.

Judging by the serving on your bowstring seperating like that below the d-loop, you might want to fix the serving first. That may be your problem.

I looked right past that looking at the rest. Dan is correct. Get that fixed, pronto. If the serving is sliding up, it's raising your nock point. This will cause you to shoot low.

So the serving is what keeps the d- loop from sliding up or down the string?

Well I come home and drew the bow and the timing of the rest looks good. You guys are spot on about the serving. I will take it by a shop tomorrow and have them line me back up and fix it. Thanks again

I recommend they re-serve it.
