Thanks gringo..Also I shot a pretty good 8 point the other afternoon.Felt like I made a good shot.He bled like a stuck hog and there was bubbles in the blood like a lung shot.Tracked him about 500 yards and never found him.Was hoping to get us on the board early.This is a pic of him.I am almost 100% he's dead i just went in to early and bumped him.I'm watching for buzzards.

I just ain't near as excited as I usually am for some reason.Maybe it's because it's been so hot..or maybe it's bexcuse it's so dry and everything we have planted is nothing but dust....or maybe it's because my clearcut is getting to the point of being hard to hunt.I'll be there no matter what but just can't get in it like I usually do.I've only been in the stand twice with the bow.

Seen does both sits at the club yesterday. Holding out up here for a buck. Gonna try and get us a doe next Thursday or Friday around the house before I head up here.

I didn't go yesterday morning.It was way to windy.Went yesterday afternoon and seen 4 does and 2 spikes.Went back this morning and seen 8 but no horns.Headed back out about 3.Hopefully they'll be on their feet this afternoon.

Got us a few points yesterday.Shot a lil 9 point.Young lil buck that woulda been a goodun in a few years but he came out on me at the wrong time so he had to die.

Congrats Trox! Will be getting back after them this coming weekend. I missed one (hit a limb) last week that would have been a definite upgrade. I hope he's still in the area.

Been a tough season for sure..I run to check my camera today at 1:45..Came down the road through the clearcut and as I got to the top of the hill I seen 2 deer standing in some thinned pines to my left.They never heard or seen me somehow.I cut the truck off,grabbed my rifle and stepped out so I could see.One had her head up but the other ones head was down and I could see a rack.Couldn't tell what he was behind all the trees but I said hell with it I'm gonna find out.Shot,he jumped about 3 feet in the air and took off.I could tell he was kinda tall when he was running off.Damned if I didn't walk up on him and he was a tall 5 point with a small droptine trying to grow off his right side.I been getting pics of him at night and was wanting to see what he turned into the next few years...Now he's just gonna be bacon burger and sausage
