Checking in from a scouting trip here in Kansas. Will be back here in 4 weeks, can wait!!

Guys, I'm cool with whatever name yall come up with. I will try to keep a check on things, but have very limited service where I'm at.

Hey guys also checking in. Where are you guys from/hunt? I am one of those sorry Floridians. I own 320 ac in Dale County near Ozark. Generally hunt Thanksgiving Christmas and 3 weeks at end of season

I am from Tuscaloosa, AL. I hunt in Pickens County, AL and in SE Kansas.

Autauga county here, hunt both Autauga and Lowndes wmas along with private land in Macon county

Fur u shoot one of those ginormous Kansas deer and it will help with points. Pretty sure I will be able to contribute a doe and buck. Only question will be size of buck.

I live in Mobile County, And Hunt in Wilcox County

Checking in fellas. I'll be hunting Madison, County Al and Tennessee. Been a few times so far in TN this year, seen plenty of deer, just haven't connected with one.

Well, if my cams are any indication of how my year will be here in Bama, snowballschance should be right up my alley. The absolute worst year of running cameras I've ever had.

Wish I could help this week-end, but I am not a bow hunter.One of the two guys I let hunt my place is though, and he is champing at the bit.In reference to cameras, this was the first year running them at the farm,mainly thanks to my bowhunting buddy, and its one reason I realized I aint much of a hunter. Been around the place for my whole life and had no clue how many decent bucks there are in the area.Does everyone on the team have high confidence of at least a doe kill?

Didn't hunt this eve. Had to watch Bama take care of business. Long season with the hopes of better weather. Hopefully I will run an arrow through one soon!

Sorry boys! I had the opportunity this morning to get us in the board. I just could not make myself orphan a couple spotted fawns. Saw several deer this morning and yesterday eve.

Any of y'all hunting seeing anything? Might be a week or so till I can get my tail in the woods

With this Sorry weather down here, I probably want start my killing till gun season..

I should have bought a crossbow.Just got back from a week at the Farm with wife and daughter and it would have been a sure deal I believe to pop one. The 220 ac block of beautiful old mixed woods to my immediate east(my entire west line) is in the process of being converted into a desert wasteland and the deer were very much confused and moving. I was seeing 3 or so a day just riding and working and I never see deer at my place during the day like that.On one ride around with the family we had a doe sit in a patch eating radishes less than 50 yards from us just looking at us and munching away.

I've been covered up with deer the few times I've been able to go. The only problem is that they were either small bucks or does that still had little ones with them. Even though the temps have been through the roof, deer movement has seemed to be pretty good.

Will be heading to Kansas Saturday, hopefully things will go well.

I will finally get a chance to get back after them this weekend. Headed up to TN to hunt with the muzzleloader this weekend. Hopefully I can get one on the board.

Hope you all are doing well and are having a good season so far. It's been an odd season at our place in Pickens Ounty. Seeing lots of doe, but nearly every doe has had small fawns with them. Therefore, I went without killing a deer with my bow here in Alabama in a long time as of now!

However, my buddies and I are just getting back in town from Kansas where I had a great time and killed a really nice buck. Seemed they were chasing hard at the beginning of the week with some lock down as week progressed.

The buck I killed was a 150+" with 12 score able points. He did have a broke G3 on his left side that according to my trail cam pics, may have been one of his longest points.

Either way, the Lord absolutely blessed me this week with a great time with some great friends and great hunting on the land the Lord laid out for us.

Now time to try and get these kids on some deer!!!

Well I am gonna be slow getting on the board.Cannot get up to my place for Thanksgiving for the first time in years and work is hopping so it may even be until Christmas. I will make it up the last 3 weeks of season though.I will for sure pop a doe and a buck is high probability, just don't know how many points. Saturday a buddy took a youth and he popped a 146.7 lb doe on the place.

got us 6 more points fellas, shot a baby buck yesterday afternoon so my 3 year old would get off my back about bringing him home a buck

Nice I've been hard at it no shooters yet. Too bad we don't have no fields lol I don't mind hunting the woods but we don't have no problems killing several mature deer in our fields early season..

I'll be at the lowndes gun hunt this weekend looking to upgrade my buck and get the 5 points for a doe. Don't forget everyone needs to kill a doe

Well I actually have green fields, its just they are a little over 300 miles nw of me. Keeping my fingers crossed, had a break at work and may get a short trip up before Christmas.

Been playing catch up and taking the kids hunting since getting back in town. Will have the kids with me on Friday as the wife goes shopping. Hopefully I can get my kids on a deer, it would be my youngest sons 1st deer if possible. So, if yall don't mind please pray that the Lord will send me a dump, deaf, and blind deer my way so I can get him an opportunity.

I will be getting after them solo on Saturday! Hope I can contribute a few more points for the team.

How did y'all fair today? I feel like an idiot. Got a doe at lowndes wma and completely forgot to take a pic with my team name and info with it. I'll get another one tho so no worries

Went solo this morning, left kiddos at the house. My dad and I wanted to do some work around lunch before this hopeful rain arrives.

Did squeeze in a few hours early and sat over a cut over. Prolly saw 12-14 deer. All were doe with the exception of 2. One was a messed up rack 6pt and the other was a pretty descent 8pt. Wasn't real sure how big he was, therefore, I gave him the pass for now.

Hope to put a doe down soon to help the team. Will be picking the bow back up a few more time before they bust loose at our place.

Awesome job Bob!! He looks to be a brute of a deer. I saw where you had said you shot one this morning and just now getting back to aldeer.

I had the smoke pole with me today and only saw a few. I plan to get that stick and string back out and get the rest of my points for us!

Didn't get one of the big boys I'm after. But I did get a decent 7 that weighed 190, and after switching stands twice because AccuWeather phugging sucks I'm okay with it now lol

Thanks...I'm after some good ens but unfortunately the weather kept me home this weekend. We don't shoot does on plots (heck we haven't shot a doe in 3 seasons) and none this year, but I'm gonna get one at the father n laws before the season is over...

I understand James. I'm not for shooting a doe in a plot either, but I have let my kids shoot one or two on occasion. I typically shoot a couple doe during bow season, but this is the first year I didn't see a doe without a yearling.

Going to try and get the bow back out and shoot one before season ends. Haven't shot a doe with my rifle in nearly 12 years.

Same here. I usually get my doe killing done during bow season, but every doe I had a chance at earlier this year had a fawn or fawns with her. I'm going to try to put one down at my father in laws place with either the rifle or bow though.

Welp sorry guys but we had a very poor year. Only 6 on the board( 4 shouldn't have even been killed) this year. We normally kill 14 to 15, and my 8 point was a 7 (brow broken clean off) so he was no upgrade. I'm thinking these contests are bad luck for me lol. I joined a Turkey team last year and didn't kill one damn Turkey! I usually kill one or two a year...
