Used a API for 20+ years and never had a problem. Decided I wanted a new stand so I bought a Treewalker. Only been on a tree once but will get a workout starting Oct 15th.

Lone Wolf Sit & Climb. It's lightweight and solid.

I have the XOP Enforcer. Haven't hunted out of it enough to say it's my favorite but it's the only horse in the stable at present. I wish the top was a couple inches wider.

On the distance I like to walk to my stands: “The first 100 yards is also the last 100 yards.”

Lonewolf Sit/Climb. I used a summit cobra for many years and liked it. Late last year, I went to a Lonewolf sit/climb and am happier with it. The cast design is quieter than the hollow runners on the summit. Packs thin, light, and the cables don't need heat shrink replacement, and are easily adjustable. For bowhunting, I want an open-faced stand and the LW allows that feature and still allows me to sit to climb.
