Seems like every time I have to stop and get gas on interstate 65 someone always walks up with a sad story.stopped at the 310 exit in cullman this evening no more than got out of my vehicle dude walks up needing money. He says man I hate to walk upon you but can I have a few bucks for gas. Said he was from Kentucky but had a AL tag. What the heck That's odd for Cullman. But, I don't get gas at those stations a lot. I was thinking the same thing, I have never been hut up in Cullman but it happens a lot here in NC. I rarely carry cash so for me its not really a problem.

Not tryin to preach to y'all, just making a suggestion. If you believe in your heart that you are giving your money to the Lord, and not some beggar, then it doesn't really matter what they do with that $10. Just my .02 I agree but the Bible also teaches to be a good steward. There are plenty of churches, missions and other organizations out there that will help someone in need out. I was in a Lowes parking lot once when a guy came up to me wanting to sell me "his" tools for some gas money. I tild him there was a church at the other end of the parking lot and I knew the staff was there. I also told him they would help him out. He told me he didn't think he even has enough gas to drive across the parking lot. Seriously??? Do they think people are that stupid? If he didn't have enough gas to drive across the parking lot he dang sure didn't have enough to get to a gas station, regardless of how much cash was in his pocket. I told him to walk.
If voting made any difference, they wouldn’t let us do it.-Mark Twain

I never give cash but I have bought a few of them lunch before. Usually when they walk up asking for $ for food I offer to take them to the local shelter. Never had a one take me up on it.
There is a brunette late 20's early 30's that works the Bham area wal marts and shopping areas. She isnt bad looking and dresses to catch your attention. She walks around like shes talking on the cell phone to a family member & loud enough for people around to hear her saying shes lost her wallet and is out of gas needing money. Id bet she makes more than me most days.

Someone posted on FB recently asking about what had happened to the homeless vet that used be panhandle by so-and-so shopping center. This person was concerned for his well being and had not seen him for a couple days. Nearly 100 folks replied that he wasn't homeless and at the end of most days he'd have someone pick him up and take him to his apartment. Another mentioned he had a cab take him home one day and he flashed his money roll to the driver ($350-ish I think) and said not bad for for a few hours.
The left lane is for the the purpose of moving the flow of traffic forward regardless of the speed limit. If your impeding the flow of traffic get your ass in the right lane. It's really that simple...

Sorry man, I don't carry cash. I'd be happy to give you a ride to the nearest shelter where you can get help.

There's an intersection down in Ft. Walton where traffic is almost always pretty heavy and there used to be tons of panhandlers there all the time. The city put up signs saying it was ok to say NO to panhandlers...'Huntress calls them the "Don't Feed The Bears" signs! *LOL*

I was reading all of this and had my response ready until I got to Ford150man's reply. That just about sums it up.Go with your heart, use discernment and be a good steward because it ain't our money anyway. Our Father owns the cattle on a thousand hills and the hills they stand on.If your heart is right and you get scammed then God will return it tenfold but if you toss your money foolishly away then your loss is on you.
Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life;of whom shall I be afraid?
