Thanks for the confirmation, 257. Everything I've ever read says they need 110 days, but my experience with late crops says it ain't exactly so. For chufa planted in May or June, it's probably correct, but later plantings seem to produce quicker.
Hosscat, it's probably a combination of no rain and age of plants that's turning them yellow. My early ones are very yellow, but the later ones are still green. Sure could use a rain.

Our WX man just said don't expect any rain for next 15 days. Long range shows no improvement through December.

I finally got around to getting a pic of the patch this morning! These have been in the ground 48 days now. Kinda spotty but the turkeys worked on them pretty good when I first planted them. I sprayed for grass and broadleafs about 2 weeks ago.
