I've been using CCI #250 large rifle primers since I started reloading. What issues could I expect to encounter if I switched to Winchester large rifle primers?

I use WLRM primers in several of my loads. They've given me higher velocity with some powders, which in turn, equates to higher pressures. Although, I haven't noticed enough, pressure wise, to keep me from running a listed book max. If you're shooting your rifle's max, you may want to drop half a grain or 10%(like it's always said) below that charge.

CCI250 is the magnum. CCI200 is the large rifle. WLR is large rifle. WLRM is the magnum.

Ok thanks guys. That's what I needed to know. I'm running my 243 super hot, looks like I need to drop a grain or two and work back up

Issue I have found is Winchester primers seem like they run a tad small(diameter size). Cci fit fine, Winchester are super loose.

That is what I have found

What was the measurement of your WLR and CCI primers?

All my primers(CCI, Winchester, and Federal) all measure the same. I'm interested to hear how yours measure out.

Winchester measure 0.2090
CCI measure 0.2100

CCI are a fuzz deeper too

Went back and remeasured several times and corected the measurements

The Winchester primers can be loose. Just be aware and don't assume the brass is shot.
