I like Winchester extreme weather and Remington 700 cdl sf in your price range. Yankee you just don't know how close I was to ordering a new Rem700 CDL SF 7mag the other night.I LOVE that gun but lucked up on this Steyr setup with the Kahles so I didn't order it.Will definitely have one before long though.$939 through Buds gunshop and it's a beauty.

Sako A7 Big Game, stainless with fluted barrel. My dad bought one last year in 308. Sweet shooting rifle and feels very well balanced. 1/2"@ 100. Can't argue with that! Or, of course, I have a Tikka with laminated stock in stainless and i love it! Depends on which your prefer but can't go wrong either way.
