The club has to apply and buy a field trial permit. It covers out of state hunters. So in a sense , when they pay their entry fees they are buying a permit. Exactly, these hunts aren't free. The deer hunters probably didn't realize this. PKC pockets half the entrees and the other half is split to the winners UKC pockets all the money and puts it in the BANK with the rest of their millions

That comes out before any purses are paid. Got to keep the lights on or at least rent for a place if there is no clubhouse .

Other states don't charge our hunters. Bottom line is, there not using weapons, so IMO there not hunting. They can still come over and hunt in these events. They just can't be guided to National Forest and WMA land

Other states don't charge our hunters. Bottom line is, there not using weapons, so IMO there not hunting. They can still come over and hunt in these events. They just can't be guided to National Forest and WMA land And when no one offers up their land or doesn't have a big enough place to hunt, that is where we end up.
