Been all summer without seeing any deer. Things are hopping everywhere now. It's every year. I don't know if it's the slightly cooler mornings, the shorter days or what. But they always seem to get more active around here the last week or 2 of September.
“Killing tomorrow’s trophies today.”
On the distance I like to walk to my stands: “The first 100 yards is also the last 100 yards.”

I've noticed that over the last week we seemed to have more action on the game cameras in terms of "new" deer and deer during the day. If the deer are anything like me, they are well past ready for good ole cool mornings.
The fool tells me his reasons; the wise man persuades me with my own.
