Took a gamble this afternoon and planted another 1 acre strip of browntop millet. If it makes I'll have seed for the second season.
I cut and burned about 1/2 acre this time last year and it produced a great crop of seed bug we didn't have birds. Maybe I can have the crop and birds this year.

Hope you make it. I'm sure you can down there. I "planted" 250 more lbs of wheat into my powder house cultipacked ground late today. Hope this front sends us some birds.

I'm gonna pour the feed to mine for a couple weeks 257. The weekend warriors are planting for deer down here so the next month will be tough. At best I might get 1 shoot in around the end of October but down here it's hard to pull any numbers until mid November.
