I've tried Justin, Dan Post, Wolverine, Ariat, and Georgia.

The new Justin's don't hold up like they used to. My Ariat's were very comfortable but I didn't get a year out of them.

I am now on my second pair of Georgia Giants and will stick with them. They have been the most comfortable and I can get 2-3 years out of a pair.

Take home point of this is: there are several good boot companies out there. Find the ones that feel best on you. New boots should feel comfortable from the get go. There is no real break in period for boots like there use to be. If they don't feel great when you try them on, try something else.

My brother swears by Rocky pull ons. I can't wear them. He doesn't like my Ariats.

I went with work one tie ups. I love slip on for casual stuff and house/farm work.

But need the extra support at work. I bought them because first they were the only pair I found that were comfortable and made in america.

another for ariat. when latigos and workhog h2o wore out i went to ariat lacers, upon recommendation of my podiatrist for new inserts.
my next pair will likely be ariats, too, although i've worn danner, georgia boot, wolverine, redwing and irish setter and had good luck with the majority..ariat just fits better and lasts longer for me.

experience is a freakin' awesome teacher....

Redwing or Justin, NOT Wolverine, their soles come loose.

I just started a construction job and bought some Durango Rebels to work in.. They have been super comfortable so far, and have worn them every day for the past month. Time will tell how they hold up.

I wanted to try Ariats because I heard so much about them, but I have a tall foot, and also a fairly wide foot. My foot was so tall, I couldnt get the Ariats on without going a size too big at the minimum.

Wolverine Coyotes have been the best boots I've purchased in a long time. My old pair is at the camp, I still wear em on work days

Look where they're made. The Chinese/Vietnamese footwear doesn't last any time before they start breaking down. I've gotten to where I'll ONLY wear/buy footwear that's made in the USA...besides the obvious, that I prefer to support our economy rather than theirs, the sizes tend to run truer and they hold up better over time. It seems like I spend more to buy an American made pair of shoes, but when I factor in not having to replace them every 4-6 months, I'm actually saving money.

I'd get at least a year out of my Justin's. Concrete mortar dust and mud it probably about the worst thing you can put a boot thru and they held up fine.

Say what? I believe the good Ole Cowboys would disagree, they worked their asses off in slip on boots. And every farmer I know wears slip on boots. Hell I haven't purchased a pair of lace up work boots in 10 years..

If you ever roll a 1400F dollop of liquid aluminum up under your guard and into the laces, and then yanked a knot in the laces trying to get it off, you might disagree. That happened about 12 years ago and I haven't worn lace-up boots since. Had to limp to the steps and run my knife down the laces to kick it off.

I'm welding so I like the slip on factor and don't really want to torch any shoe strings
