Did I read correctly a few weeks ago that we can no longer bring a dead deer into Alabama from another state?

I know I can Google and hunt and dig bit thought I might get the quick answer in here.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Only states that have history of cwd are flagged. Other states such as Kentucky, Tennessee, etc you are fine bringing a deer in.

It is in the "book" and also in the outdoor Alabama app. You can bring in the meat only. No brains or spinal cords or bones. So here's where it gets iffy to me. If you kill a big buck, do you have to have the skull boiled to the point of all brain matter removed? Can you just cut off the horns and wash it?..... Which may leave some brain matter on it. Some people will interpret it this way. They need to address what needs to be done to a deer so there are no questions about it and the law is crystal clear.

Talked to a fella who has experience in hunting Illinois....he says this a rule that all the states between here and Illinois have had for awhile and that Alabama is simply catching up.

He says all you gotta do is debone, dehode, then pull the skull cap and you are fine.

This is my first year to hunt Illinois so I was glad to know this is not something completely new that Alabama implemented.

We just came home from Illinois and like bamacamp said is what they did for us and we had no problems.
