These are what I use and they are great. They hold up longer than the bags Hunters Specialties sell.

I keep mine in a large plastic tub with a hand full of earth scent wafers.

Perch my brother and I bought a box of those 10 years ago and I've still got a couple I use every year. I couldn't believe how well they held up.

Right now I'm using the bedroom floor as I got all my stuff out and washed it recently. The wife isn't to amused by it either. Ha!

Yeah Mangler, I bought several boxes about that long ago and am still on first box. A very good investment if you are into scent control. Hunt Safe

Geno, just curious how many deer do you kill with a bow ????

I use the vacuum seal bags from Harbor Freight. $5 normally and sometimes can catch them on sale with a 20% coupon on top of that. You use your home vacuum to seal it.

Back when the family would eat venison I would usually kill one or two with a bow per year.

That's 90% on the ground and all public land with a stickbow.

I would switch to a rifle as soon as gun season opened and average 4 or 5 a year (total of 5-7). Again, 90% from the ground and all on public land. When I was in serious need of meat I would hunt every weekend and killed 10 one year and 12 the next. All but one from the ground and all of them with a 12 gauge smoothbore shotgun with slugs.

I've killed two mature bucks in 30ish years of hunting (some years I don't hunt at all though for various reasons), both with a rifle but they were both less than thirty yards. I shot and didn't find another mature buck with the shotgun - which is the reason I now own a rifle.

I loosed one arrow last season on a 6 point with a black face and he jumped the string in a total of about three days hunted. I let three deer walk in those three days.

I've got 2 old Packer 45 totes that they used to make and Wal-Mart used to sell, and I just put fresh cut pine or cedar boughs in 'em with my hunting boots, clothes, and stuff. They have a rubber seal all the way around so I don't have to worry about a spider or other varmint getting in there.

I'm not a fanatic about scent like I used to be, though. If I kill one or not, fine.
