I'm going to remove the maple and sweetgum in the pics but do y'all think I should take out the red oak and water oak too? I will be leaving the two white oaks for sure. [img:center]http:// [/img] [img:center]http:// [/img]

I have some red oaks and white oaks in a couple plots. Due to liming, fertilizing and being released from the forest canopy, they rain acorns. Plus i think it provides additonal stands for bowhunting, as well as camera placements. It also allows for an ambush site turkey hunting, if you let the weeds grow up around the tree's. It helps provide shade for clover, as well.

I wouldnt take the red or water oak out. Be great when they produce and by the pictures looks like a good place for a buck to make a scrape.

I'd leave the maple tree too, and hinge cut the branches in the winter. Yea no it's gone. It's interfering with my summer plots big time.
