I have bred my yellow female to HRCH Cooper Jaxon Barnes. Cooper is a great dog and includes some nice names in his pedigree FC AFC Espirit Playin For Keeps, FC AFC Trumarc's Hot Pursuit, FC AFC CFC CAFC Barracuda Blue MH, and 3xGRHRCH UH Dakota's Cajun Roux MH. In his young hunt test career he earned his Hunting Retriever (HR) title before his first birthday, and earned his Hunting Retriever Champion (HRCH) title at 17 months. My female is completely finished but I never ran her in any hunt test. Chase Haws from Conecuh River Kennels trained both of these fine dogs. Though I'm not exactly sure of the females full pedigree 750 is a good price for a puppy of this caliber with health clearances if given. People do not realize the importance in buying pups with clearances. My favorite thing is when Joe Schmoe who knows nothing about pedigrees , clearances , or anything else says I can't justify paying that for a dog. I pay 1500 and up for a good dog all day. Your comparing apples to oranges when buying dogs like this to back yard bred dogs. It's like saying who would win a race a Clydesdale or a thoroughbred. So before you rant and jack somebody's thred talking with suck ignorance all I ask is that you do your homework. There's more money in it than just calling your buddy and saying hey man your dog is a good duck dog and he has a big blocky head lets breed him to my female I bet we could get 500 for the puppies. &#128548. If you can't justify it then get on Craigslist and go buy a 300 dollar pup there and hope the pups have retrieving desire and are biddable

The cheapest thing about buying a pup no matter the breed is the cost of the pup. Buy the best bred pup with the health test done and you are way ahead of the ballgame. I sold my pups way to cheap with the breeding I have at $650 each and could have sold at least 20.I try and provide a super bred pup to some folks who otherwise can't afford one. I hope to have one more breeding between Rascal and Maggie but they will be considerable higher.

There is a pup for sale out of her last litter from a professional Trainer for $3500 at a year old. One has 2 JR passes and 2 started passes, and these 2 are not the farthest along in the litter. This was bred to a dog that only had a JR title and not near the caliber of dog.

I will take $250 off of the price for any pup that reserves there training with Chase Haws at Conecuh River Kennels. You won't be disappointed.
