With deer season approaching, there's a lot of threads popping up on aging deer. So for those in the know, how about some pointers on aging deer based on pics. What are the visual characteristics of deer at various ages?

There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:
1. All Politicians Are Liars 2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement 3. Taxation Is Theft

What I wanna know is how y'all have enough same to judge one. Usually the ones I see are mere glimpses and you either shoot or ya don't
Only accurate rifles are interesting.

My modus operandi for aging deer is taking a few pictures of one I see and coming back to the camp and letting the two other younger lease members ask me " why didn't you shoot that bastard, Woody?"
In most cases, I'd just rather shoot a doe for meat and not throw another set of antlers in a box for the squirrels to just chomp up.
I might could judge one simply because I've been in the woods for 50 plus years, but who knows?
I was raised jawbone aging them and I don't watch many hunting shows by the "pros".
