Looking for a place to hunt for a great family. Wife, 2 daughters, 2 sons and myself. Looking around the Montgomery Autauga Elmore Macon and Chilton counties. Price range 750-1400$. We ask that it be a family oriented hunting club. Please let us know. Thanks

Six people hunting for 1400.00 would be about 233.00 each. That would be a great deal... Good luck.

A blackbelt (or near blackbelt) club for a single membership with 6 hunters for a max of $1400?

Shouldn't be too hard to find.

Better start looking for your own land to lease. You won't find a quality place that allows six members for the price of one.

Most clubs include family with membership, at least most I've ever heard of or would consider why would it be so hard.

Well if you had 1200 acres and 12 "memberships" and several ppl show up and have family members with em, that could be a problem. If everyone else only had two ppl hunt on their memberships, that would still be 28 ppl on a 1200 acre lease. Am I wrong? May not be at one time, but damn at the pressure!

That's how my club is. Not in the area he's looking in, though.

Rules like 8 point or better, or no does in January are moot for a family oriented club if every gun is not practicing the same trigger discipline.

However, don't overlook WMAs and public land. They are a good place to hone young skills and woodsmanship.

I sincerely hope you find a great spot to take your family, they are out there, but you may have to sacrifice a little hunting quality to accomplish your short term goals here.

Don't forget about simply asking Farmer Brown if you can hunt his land exclusively for a little trade out work that includes the whole family. You can use this to teach work ethic to your young'uns as well.

I've actually secured permission to hunt just for the asking, after getting to know the owner when I was much younger. That would always deserve at least the offer of a dressed hind quarter in addition to any work I helped him with.

This is doable. Just put on your thinking cap.

Good luck, sir.

1. Don't tell any prospective clubs you intend on 6 people hunting off your membership until the season is upon us.

2. Don't plan on being a member more than one year.

They will not all be hunting at the same time. Mainly my wife and myself. We will hunt on Sunday's since I work 6 days a week. I've only got kids every other weekend. So not all of us will hunt at the same time ever.

I would recommend the national forest. Good luck with your search for a club.

Not trying to be an arse but that many people invading a club might not be welcomed like you think. I passed on a similar member, a great guy and family, that was interested in joining our club.
We have 800 acres and 7 members. None of the current members, all been in for at least 5 years, hunt like their doing it for a living and rarely bring a guest. A family of 5 or 6, swarming in, could crowd others out pretty quick and take a place over
You'll need to find a place with BIG acreage and be prepared to pay big $$$$ or find a place to lease yourself

This is why some clubs have gone to your membership allows X # of animals to be taken and your spouse and kids kills count towards that.

We went with a 6 deer per membership rule, 3 of which can be bucks. Have two guys that only want to shoot does, so I didn't want to limit them to just a couple of does. We also have a rule that one membership can only hunt two stand locations at a time and if the guest is hunting with you in the stand, no guest fees required.

Why can't y'all just be nice to the Ol boy, dang. He can get in plenty of clubs in chilton, autauga and Elmore county in that price range that will allow his immediate family to hunt. The hunting may not be worth a flip, but there are clubs that fit his criteria. Bunch dang trophy hunting Debbie downers in here laugh

Six people sounds more like a "whole neighborhood membership" instead of a "family membership".

This is why better clubs are selecting members instead of recruiting members.

Years ago we had a man join our club and when the season started he showed up with his wife, their son and daughter and their two spouses. They would block out six stands twice a day and sit all day. They were not invited back and we changed the rules.

For the past 20 years, our rules state: 1 membership = 1 gun in the woods,no guests. You can have your wife or kids sit with you,but what ever they kill comes out of your quota. Can always purchase multiple memberships if you wish to bring a guest

I don't see it that way. Why should one man (or woman member) pay $1400 to hunt and not bring guest(s) or family members and another man pays the same and hunts six people? What's fair about that?

My club places a max of family members and guests. I would not want to be in a club that hunts that many people on one membership esp when you place a multiplier on a single membership with six or more people hunting.

NOPE... want no part of that hot mess!!!!

No disrespect to the family man as I'm one too... I just expect my entire family to be able to hunt for the same price as a single man. UNLESS, you join a club with all family memberships and it's all crowded equally for all.
