Bow shopping...whats the difference and is it worth the price gap between the two? Thanks for all input

Never have ow Ed a Mathews so no help there. But I have a mission ballistic and to me it can't be beat for the money. I'm using 70# @27" and Easton fmj. It slings the arrows pretty good. It's as accurate as me and my hha. Pretty quiet, not the best let off, but it's a dual cam and it does t bother me too bad. Pretty smooth draw. I'm pleased with it.

It's simply the difference between a lower end and High end bow. The low end bows kill just fine, but it's like driving a bmw vs stiff 3/4 ton.

Missions are Great bows and the limbs are made from quality materials just like the Mathews. However, they do not have some of the dampening features, roller guards, or more advanced technologies such as the risers and cam systems.

Here's the situation, I've got a buddy with a brand new 2016 mission bow and a Mathews that is 2 or 3 years old. He's asking the same price for both of them. What is the better deal? Obviously Mathews is a little higher quality but Is a newer mission better than an older Mathews?

What models are you talking about?

I am by no means an expert on Mathews, but I've never shot one that had a solid back wall on let off. Wouldn't expect their budget brand to either.

2013 Mathews creed or 2016 mission ballistic 2.0

My brother had a mission ballistic before getting a bowtech rpm 360 a couple years ago. Sure it's made by mathews and has a cheaper price tag, but i don't know that i'd refer to the ballistic model as low end. It was enjoyable to shoot with plenty of speed, very efficient. Of course like someone else said in an above post it didn't have the complexities such as roller guard, dampening system, etc. but still an excellent bow.

Guess you've never shot a Creed or any of the models with the Rock Mods. Even my Z7 has a pretty solid back wall.

Have you shot one in past 3 or 4 years? My Chill R with the rock mods has a very nice back wall.

And by way a bow with a back wall that's not so solid doesn't make it a bad bow IMO. Some people actually like the back wall to give some. That's why Mathews offers some of thier bows in regular or rock mods.
