Gracious, that's a steal. Probably less than I'd be able to find one used for.

Dang it. I would love to have another 22 mag. Regret getting rid of the one I had.

Wonder if these are available at other Walmarts?

Just messaged a buddy who's a store manager at the Athens location. He wasn't aware of any sales, but that it wouldn't hurt to check other stores.

A store here ran 10/22's for $199. Isn't that a good price ? It was Academy in Slidell.

Whitetail35,

I may need a place to stay. You've got me in the dog house after buying a 243 and 308. So, yes some other Wal-Mart's have them.

Thank you whitetail35!!!!!! I just left south Huntsville with the savage 22 and Ruger American in 243. My kidos are set for the season now. One of my employees is buying the last 308.

Remaining stock is one ruger 30-06 and a couple of savage .17. The rugers were in the back and not in the case.

any idea how much the 30-06 is? is it the same as the others, the 199?

I was just at the South Huntsville store, picking up groceries. Should have looked. Doubt I have the money for it...but I still don't own a rifle!

Thanks whitetail but I may be with Acorn in needing a place to stay! Paid 199 for a 30-06at the Athens Walmart. The sale started today. They still had a 308 left when I got done, but someone was asking about it.

Its got to be a day that I'm at the fire department and can't buy a gun. I've been looking for the 243 ruger and need one!

I wish they had one in 7-08. I'd buy one and stick it in the back of the safe at that price.

I bought the 22 mag because it was way cheaper than distributor wholesale price. An hour later walking out the store I'm not sure it was worth it. I got a great deal but walmart is a stickler when it comes to protocol. It took 3 people working on it to get me out the door.

Glad everybody got a good deal. I ended up going to the Eufaula Walmart and got an Ruger American in .308.

I appologize for any relationship issues this may have caused for anyone. LOL

FYI the Eufaula Walmart had them marked at regular price, but I asked and they were 199 they just hadn't changed the price tags.

You the man whitetail. Left work early and picked up the last 2 sale guns they had at Leeds. Rugger american 243.

The other one is one I have been gawking at for months. Marlin 1895 45-70. Normally $589 for $299. Too good to pass up. Bout to mix up a Tito in celebration.

South Huntsville was all out, called another store that still had 1 30-06, but I had a dinner I had to be at. I'll go see if they still have it in the morning, but I doubt I'll be so lucky. Congrats to the rest of you guys smile

No, I talked to them, they aren't actually on "sale", they are on clearance, meaning they are moving out that item. So they won't be getting any more in.

Man you aint lying! I doubt I'll ever buy another one at a Wal-mart. What a freakin fiasco! Wasnt a soul at the gun counter when I got there, we had 40 minutes to spare, and I ended up making it to my nephew's ballgame with half of the first quarter over with. Good night. rolleyes

30-06. I already have a M77 in 30-06, and didn't really need it, but that's too good of a deal to pass up.

Thanks for the heads up! Grabbed the last one at Walmart in Trussville. 30-06. Definitely didn't need one, but for the price, couldn't drive past the store without at least checking. Already have a compact 7-08 that my wife hunts with, and it's been a great little gun too.

Ask them to scan them. They will still show regular price till scanned. Just bought a 308 for 184.

Same here they are on a markdown/clearance list. I picked up a 30-06 and savage B-mag. First time ever I was delayed so not sure what that's about as I am clean as a pin, other than a recent clearance re-investigation but that's over and I am good. Makes me wonder but I guess i will know shortly.

I thought our Wal Mart did a good job. I was out the door in 15-20 minutes of me telling them what I wanted. That included the time it took them to walk to the back of the store and get it and the manager walking it out the door.

The one I bought showed $338 on the rack. Asked him to scan it, and it was $199.

Wetumpka had one 308. Pville had 2 30-06 That was at 5 pm. I'd be willing to buy a 308 to trade for a 243 if some one wants.

I went a little overboard... picked up a Mossberg 930 & a Savage 17wsm at Hamilton, wife picked me up a 30-06 and a 22lr Savage in Winfield, and my in laws got me a 308 in Fayette. I think I need an intervention! Now I have to find out about this rimfire rebate x2! Sounds like ammo money...

Well I ended up getting one in 30-06. Bought a 3-9x40 Leupold vari-x 1 for 99 bucks (149-50 rebate) and a set of talley lightweight one piece rings for 38 bucks. All together I've got 365 bucks in this gun. I didn't need another rifle, but for that price I think you'd be crazy not to jump on it. Only drawback is scope and all this thing weighs a shade over 7 pounds. Imagine the recoil is going to be a little heavy. I had intentions of painting it and putting a Boyd's laminate on it, and i still may one day, but for now I'm gonna just hunt with it like it is and not care the least about dinging it up like I do my other rifles.

Bass Pro had the scopes on sale. I went to gander mt here in Auburn and they price matched it. I tried to SWFA.com price match and they denied my request 3 times after approving a friend's same request so said screw it and went there.

My neighbor bought the 308. He would be willing to trade for a 243 if anyone is interested

The secret to a long marriage is to keep on dating, just as you did before marriage. We have "date night" once a week.
Hers is Saturday, mine is Thursday.

The only time a married woman gives those is if your not married to them!

If anyone bought one of the Marlin 1895 there is apparently a $50 rebate going on as well right now according to reddit might want to do some googling
